Privacy Policy

This policy has three parts: the PRV8 Config app for iOS, the PRV8 5G Connect app for Android, and this website. Both are provided by NetworkFX, a company registered in Wyoming, USA.
Part 1 — PRV8 Config
PRV8 Config collects no personal information. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party SDKs.
What stays on your device
Private network configurations, geofences and diagnostic test history are stored in the app’s own container on your device. They are never uploaded. Deleting the app deletes them.
Location
The app asks for location while in use, for two purposes:
- To centre the map on you and let you drop a geofence where you are standing.
- To show which of your own geofences you are currently inside, on the Diagnostics tab.
Your location is used on the device and is never transmitted or stored outside it.
Network connections
The app makes no network connections of its own except in two places:
- Installing a profile. The configuration profile is served over your device’s own loopback address (127.0.0.1) so Safari can install it. This traffic never leaves the device.
- The network test, and only when you tap Run test. The test connects to the measurement server you select — Cloudflare’s public speed-test endpoints by default, Measurement Lab, or a server you name yourself. The server in use is shown on screen. These services receive the connection itself, as any website would; the app sends them no information about you.
If you choose Measurement Lab, the result becomes public data. Measurement Lab (M-Lab) is an open Internet measurement platform. M-Lab publishes every result it receives as permanent public data, and by its own policy that includes the IP address of the device that ran the test and the time it ran. The data is kept indefinitely and released into the public domain for anyone to use. Neither we nor M-Lab can withdraw it. See M-Lab’s privacy policy at https://www.measurementlab.net/privacy/
This applies only when Measurement Lab is the selected server. If you would rather nothing were published, choose another server or do not run the test. Every other feature works without it.
Map tiles and address search are provided by Apple Maps and are subject to Apple’s privacy policy.
Data sharing
None. No data is shared with us or with anyone else, because none is collected.

Part 2 — PRV8 5G Connect (Android)
PRV8 5G Connect has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking SDKs. Almost everything it reads stays on your phone. Three things can leave it, and all three require you to act. Please read “What can leave your device” below before you use the speed test.
What the app reads on your device
PRV8 5G Connect is a field diagnostics tool for private cellular networks. To do that job it reads your SIM and network state: the subscription, operator and PLMN, registration status and reject cause, the APNs configured for the SIM, signal measurements, and the identity of the cells your phone can hear.
It also reads two identifiers, both shown on the Phone Info screen and both requiring carrier privileges granted by your operator’s SIM:
- IMEI, which identifies the device. Operator core networks key on it — a device can be provisioned correctly and still be refused because its IMEI is not on an allow-list.
- IMSI, which identifies the subscriber on the SIM. When a network refuses a SIM, the operator can only find the reason in their own core logs by looking the IMSI up.
All of this is held in the app’s own storage on your device. Nothing is uploaded automatically, on a schedule, or in the background.
Location
Android will not report cell identities — band, channel, PCI, tracking area — to any app that does not hold location permission, so the survey and Phone Info screens cannot work without it. The app asks for precise location while in use only. It does not ask for background location and cannot collect your location when it is not open.
What can leave your device
Only when you choose it, in one of three ways.
A diagnostics report you export. It contains your device make, model, Android version and baseband, your device’s IMEI and the SIM’s IMSI, SIM and network state, the APNs on the SIM, radio measurements and the cells in range, and the app’s provisioning log. It does not contain your phone number, your SIM’s ICCID, contacts, messages, files or browsing activity. The app hands it to your mail app pre-addressed to us at PRV85GConnect@networkfx.io; you decide whether to send it, and you can read the file before you do.
A site survey you share. It contains the operators, bands and cells measured at a place and, where a position fix was available, the GPS coordinates of where you took it.
A speed test you run. See the next section.
The speed test publishes public data
The speed test runs against Measurement Lab (M-Lab), an open Internet measurement platform. M-Lab publishes every result it receives as permanent public data, and by its own policy that includes the IP address of the device that ran the test and the time it ran. The data is kept indefinitely and released into the public domain for anyone to use. Neither we nor M-Lab can withdraw it. See M-Lab’s privacy policy at https://www.measurementlab.net/privacy/
The app tells you this on the speed test card before you start, and a test never runs on its own. The app also sends small DNS queries to Cloudflare’s public resolver at 1.1.1.1 to measure packet loss, which is the only honest way to measure loss over IP. Cloudflare receives the query and your IP address, as described at https://developers.cloudflare.com/1.1.1.1/privacy/
If you would rather none of this were published, do not run the speed test. Every other feature works without it.
What we receive
Only what you send us. If you email us a diagnostics report we receive it as an ordinary email and use it solely to support you. Ask us and we will delete it. We do not sell data, build profiles, or track you between sessions.
Your choices
- Revoke location in Android Settings — cell identity fields show “—”, everything else still works.
- Don’t run the speed test, and nothing is published.
- Remove a saved survey on the Site Survey screen.
- Uninstall the app and its stored data goes with it.
If you are in a region with its own data protection law, such as the European Union or the United Kingdom, you can ask us to see or delete anything you have sent us, and we will act within 30 days.
Children
The app is a professional network engineering tool. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Part 3 — networkfx.io website
The website collects personal information only when you choose to send it to us through the contact form or the waitlist form.
What we collect
- Contact form: your name, email address, and optionally your company, plus the topic, product and message you send.
- Waitlist: your email address, and optionally your name, company, the kind of organisation you work for and which product you are interested in.
How we use it
- To reply to your message and provide the support you asked for.
- To tell you when PRV8 products become available and about pilot programmes, if you joined the waitlist. We will not send you unrelated marketing.
We never sell your information or use it for advertising.
Cookies, analytics and tracking
This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics, advertising or tracking tools. Fonts and all other files are served from our own server, so visiting the site does not contact any third party.
When you submit a form, your IP address is used briefly to limit spam and abuse. It is held only in the server’s memory and is not stored with your submission.
Where it is stored and who can see it
Form submissions are stored on our own server, hosted by Hostinger, and a copy is sent to our email inbox, also provided through Hostinger. Only the NetworkFX team can read them. We do not share them with anyone else unless the law requires it.
How long we keep it
- Contact messages: for up to two years after we last corresponded with you.
- Waitlist entries: until you ask to be removed, or until we close the waitlist.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us at any time to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, or to remove you from the waitlist. Email us at the address below and we will act on it within 30 days. If you live in a region with its own data protection law, such as the European Union or the United Kingdom, you may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update it on this page and change the date at the top.
